Peace in 2020?

We all have different expectations when we enter a new year. Nobody knows how 2020 will be, for some of us it will be the best year of our lives. For others, it will be the worst years of their lives. However, your 2020 will turn out; the Bible has something significant to say to you that is so often ignored in mainstream Christianity.

The goal of our faith walk is not to come to the cross and stay at the cross. Yehoshua (Yeshua/Jesus) says in John 14:6 nobody comes to the Father but by Me. What He is saying here is this, our object of faith should never be the cross. It should be the Father, whose name is Yehovah. But to be able to have Yehovah as the object of our faith, we first have to accept what Yehoshua did for us at the cross.

If you accept what Yehoshua did for you at the cross, you will choose to repent from living a lawless life and start obeying the Torah again (the Torah is the written law of Moses). In 1. John 1:9 the Bible promises us forgiveness if we do this, and we believe Yehoshua died for us (John 3:16, James 2:10-26, 1.John 2:6, 3:4, 3:7, 5:3).

Now that you have come to the Father Yehovah by the cross (John 14:16) you can start to live your life with Yehovah as the object of your faith. The Bible says in Isaiah 26:3, the person who has Yehovah as the object of their faith will be given perfect peace. The peace the Bible speaks about in Isaiah 26:3 is not an absence of conflict or problems; it is Shalom. Shalom in the Bible is completeness and wholeness of life, so you will never lack anything spiritually, physically, or mentally. So what the Bible says in Isaiah 26:3 is this, if you have Yehovah as the object of your faith, you will have everything you need for 2020 and be able to handle everything that might happen this year.

This means that no matter what might happen this year, you will be able to handle it. If this will be the best year of your life, it will be the best year because you have Yehovah as the object of your faith. If this will be the worst year of your life, ÿou will be able to make this the best year in your life and come out of every trial and circumstance as an overcomer.

So make sure today you have Yehovah as the object of your faith so you can have Shalom this year.
