Lord heal our land

Speaker: Apostle Ernie

In 2. Chronicles 7:14 the Lord says if My people who are called by My Name humble themselves and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked way, then I will hear from heaven, forgive and heal their land.

Anyone who turns on the TV these days cant help noticing we need this promise now more than ever. The world around us is slowly but surely going into lockdown and quarantine because of the coronavirus. We need now more than ever a divine intervention.

If you are a Christian, you will interpret this verse in 2.Chron as Jesus telling us if we get saved, then He (Jesus) will hear from heaven, forgive and heal our land. As a Christian, have you have questioned your understanding of this verse?

The context of 2.Chron 7 is the dedication of the temple in Jerusalem. Here the LORD is telling Solomon if the Israelites will come to the temple in Jerusalem with a repentant mind, sacrificing for their sins, then the LORD will hear from heaven and heal the land.
Who is the LORD in this verse? Is it Jesus? No, the Bible says it is His Father Yehovah.

In John 14:6, Jesus says something that most Christians overlook and misinterpret. Most Christians read John 14:6 as “nobody comes to Me except through Me” when in fact, this verse says, “nobody comes to the Father except through Me.” What Jesus is saying here is that our focus of faith should not be Jesus; it should be Yehovah His Father. But to be able to come to Yehovah, we first have to be reconciled by faith in what Jesus did for us and how He taught us to live.

So we see from John 14:6 nothing has changed from 2.Chron 7, we are still to turn to Yehovah in repentance. There is, therefore, no scriptural foundation to understand 2.Chron 7:14 as salvation.

How are we to understand 2.Chron 7:14?

What 2.Chron 7:14 is telling us is this, Yehovah says, if My people who are called by My name Yehovah humble themselves and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked way, then I will hear from heaven, forgive and heal their land. This is no different from what Jesus is saying in John 14:9, Matt 23:2, if we repent back to Moses, and believe in what Jesus did for us at the cross, His Father Yehovah will hear from heaven, forgive and heal us. (Matt 6:25-34, Deut 28:1-14)

Most Christians would attribute something like the coronavirus to the devil. So right now, they are doing spiritual warfare against the devil, rebuking him and his demons. But by doing so, they are giving him more credit than he deserves and making him into a demigod.

The Bible says, in 2.Chron 7:13, Deut 28:14-45, the book of Revelation, Yehovah is the one who sends plagues and pestilences, not the devil. So why would a good loving God send something like the coronavirus, ebola, SARS, and other diseases?

Let me answer your question with a question, have you done anything deserving of God’s protection from plagues and diseases? Has your nation done anything worthy of God’s protection and blessings?

I can already hear some of you say things like, “but I am a Christian, I am born again, speak in tounges, saved by the Blood, believe in Jesus as my Lord and Savior. So yes, I have done what I need to do to be protected from these things”.

Where in the Bible does it say passive faith in Jesus protects you from anything? Where in the Bible does it say passive faith in Jesus blesses you?

The Bible says, in James 2:10-26, 1. John 3-5, John 3, Matt 23:2, Rom 1-11, 1. Cor 11, if we believe Jesus died for our sins, our faith has to show itself in obedience to the written law of Moses. If our faith can not be seen, then our faith is dead, and we are not a Christian. What the Bible says here, is no different from 2.Chron 7:14, Deut 28:1-13, Exodus 19.

If we repent back to the written Torah (the law of Moses) and we are reconciled to Yehovah by faith in the cross, THEN Yehovah will hear from heaven and heal us.

Do you need healing, protection from this virus, blessings on your life on a personal level? Repent, repent, repent, repent, and start seeking the face of the Father Yehovah.

Does your nation need protection and healing from this virus, blessings on a national level? Repent, repent, repent, repent and start seeing the face of the Father Yehovah.

Will repentance, and faith in the cross, make the virus go away? Will everything become comfortable and a life filled with peace, joy if you do this?

The short answer is no.

The reason for this is that even though we do the right thing on a personal level, we are all citizens of nations who will refuse to repent. Our governments will still allow the murder of the unborn child in the mother’s womb; they will still allow and even encourage what Yehovah considers to be an abomination. So even though repentance will protect us on a personal level, we still have collective guilt as citizens of our nations.

Repentance on a personal level will not make this change on a national and global level. But it will guarantee your safety, your protection, your blessing, and your healing in the time to come. (Deut 28:1-13.) Trust me when I say this, all of what you see right now is just a foretaste of what is to come.

The Bible says, in the last days, what we see now will increase. There will be more good reasons to fear, good reasons to worry. Why? Because of Yehovah’s anger over the sins of this world.

Your pastor might have told you things like “God is love; God is not angry anymore; God’s anger was fulfilled at the cross.” Your pastor is lying to you.

The Bible says in the book of Romans, in the book of Revelation, in the Gospels, in the book of 2.Chronicles, from Genesis-Revelation, sin angers Yehovah.

When He sees our nation’s leaders encouraging the murder of the unborn and abominations, it angers Him much. When He sees “Christians” who should know better rejecting His law, the law of Moses, and encouraging abominations in His house the church, it angers Him much. When He sees you, as a Christian, engaging in sins and abominations, it angers Him much.

The Bible says it is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of Yehovah when He is angry. The Bible says what is happening in the world right now makes Him very angry, and judgment is coming.

If you want to be safe from the coming judgment, passive faith in the cross will not help you.

The only thing that will is active saving faith in the cross, shown in obedience to the written law of Moses. (Rev 12, 14, 1.John, John 3)

So choose today to do the right thing and repent.
