Never give up

Do you believe Yeshua is your Lord and Savior, the way Paul says we are to believe by repenting from lawlessness back to the Torah (the written law of Moses)? If so, do you have a need right now? A need for healing or some other divine intervention in your life? If you are like the rest of us, the answer is yes. We all go through these seasons where it seems as if we are constantly bombarded with a new problem or situation we have to resolve. So what do we do? We pray and ask Yehovah to help us. But what do you do when you have prayed, and nothing happens?

Paul the Apostle gives us the answer to this question in Romans 10:11, where he says, if we believe in Yeshua (the way Paul says we are too), we will never be put to shame. Here, Paul teaches from Isaiah 28:16, where it says the one who believes in the cornerstone (the cornerstone is Yeshua and His teachings) will never be disappointed.

In Hebrew, the word for believing in Isaiah 28:16 is ma amin, which means loyalty. So a correct translation of both Isaiah 28:16 and Romans 10:11 would be “the one who remains loyal to Yeshua will never be put to shame.”

Paul is trying to tell us here that if you remain loyal to the Torah (the law of Moses, which Yeshua taught us to obey), you will never regret it. This is the same thing Yeshua says in Matt 6:25-34, if we remain loyal to the Torah, Yehovah will reward us for it and see to our every need.

What would Paul tell you to do when you have prayed, believed and nothing has happened yet? He would say to you to remain obedient no matter what happens or how long it will take.

And yes, this is difficult because we want change, and we want it now. And it gets even more complicated when we are constantly bombarded with every imaginable “Christian” solution to our problems through Christian TV. Because when we hear enough times how buying a pastor’s latest book or joining his church will resolve our issues, we are tempted to believe them. But if we fall for that temptation, we will never see our prayers answered.

So no matter what you are going through right now, do not make a pastor your god. Obey and follow only the one true God Yehovah and what He has promised and said. He promised that if you remain loyal to Moses, reconciled to Him through the cross, your every need will be met (Matt 6:25-34)

Joshua and Caleb understood this, and they entered the promised land. Job understood this, and in the end, Yehovah gave him double in return for what he had lost. Yeshua, the Son of God, promised us this in Matt 6:25-34.

Be a Joshua and never give up; remain loyal to Moses no matter what happens.
