Devotion for Monday, October 10
None of us know for sure how this week will turn out; when Friday arrives, some of us will have had the best week of our lives and others the worst week of their lives. Dont you wish there was something to hold on to, something that could get you through whatever might happen this week?
There is something to hold on to, which will get you through whatever might happen this week. In Matt 6:25-34, Deut 28:1-4, the Bible says if we keep the law of Moses, we will be in covenant with our God Yehovah. If we are in covenant with the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Jesus, we can know for sure that He will see us through whatever happens, and He will provide for us whatever we need.
So instead of worrying about what might or might not happen this week, choose instead to remind yourself that you are safe because you are in covenant with Yehovah. Because you are in a covenant with Yehovah, you can trust that He has already healed you, already provided for you, already given you wisdom or whatever it might be you need because you keep the law of Moses. So when Friday comes, you can look back at the week that has just been and say, “thank you, Abba, for being faithful to the promise you gave Abraham, Isac, Jacob, Moses, Joshua, and Jesus.”
